Moro Hunting (nights only)

          This is a specialty of the house!  Ramone will accompany you for an exciting night crab catching on the beach. The following day you will enjoy the fruits of your labor in the form of a delicious soup!

Horseback Riding:          
You can rent two horses with saddles at our resort. Advance notice is requested.

Kayak the Estero A great way to visit Jiquilillo! Please ask in advance for the availability of the kayaks (maximum 5 people, Includes guide.

Hike the Volcano!  Advance notice is required.  This trip offers a beautiful view the inner lake, the Golf of Fonseca, El Salvador , & Honduras .  Seasonally available.

Estero Padre Ramos:
          The calm sea water and tranquil, isolated atmosphere of this protected estuary is perfect for a relaxing swim and fishing.  It is about a 20 minute drive South.  Again, it is best to travel during low tide to this area.

Punta Nata and Punta Cosiguina:
          Located about 20 minutes NorthWest of Redwood Beach, these natural treasures are the northernmost points in Nicaragua .  You will see the mountains of nearby El Salvador .  It is best to travel via the beach during low tide, as driving on the soft sand during high tide is ill-advised.  It is serene and a place of rugged beauty.
